I know that I can be a bit stubborn sometimes. I have a hard time admitting defeat, so I tend to stick to my guns even when it’s not a wise decision. That’s why I’ve ended up in terrible fights with liked ones that drag on for weeks, why I continue to drive a dangerous car that I never should have purchased, and why I kept rocking a terribly misguided hair cut for months longer than I should have. I know that I have a problem, but I don’t know how to get over my bull headed nature. In fact, I’m trying right now to swallow my pride and enroll in an HVAC maintenance program. Five years ago when we bought our brand new HVAC system, I declined to sign up for the yearly service package offered by the HVAC company. They told me that the package included two service calls each year, during which the HVAC technician will take apart and clean your furnace and AC unit. They replace the air filters and complete any minor repairs that may need to be made. They also guarantee their work and include two free emergency calls throughout the year, just in case anything goes wrong with your temperature control system. I know I should have signed up for this contracted service package right off the bat, and I’ve continued to uselessly spend money on HVAC repairs ever since. I just need to get over it and sign that contract. My HVAC system will thank me in the long run.
