Not sure about mini split

I was talking to my daughter the other day. She has done some work for a Heating, Ventilation and A/C company lately, helping them to upgrade their website. She is super professional at what she does, which means she does a lot of research about the subject she is trying to showcase. I was thinking that maybe she could get her dear father and I some information on the mini-split heating and air unit that my spouse had been talking about. Both of us were concerned about the need for a heat pump during the Winter. We’ve always lived where the Winters can be entirely brutal. The wind buffets our house, and most years subzero temperatures are more normal than not. She told myself and others she would talk to one of the Heating, Ventilation and A/C techs to find out what kind of information she could get, as well as then send it to me. I knew I could have gotten the same information if I were to go to one of our local Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C companies, but I secretly wanted to hear her voice. It had been lonely since she moved to the south. She collected more information than I could have guessed existed. My spouse and I pored over a lot of the information. Both of us were surprised that such a small unit could be so powerful as well as efficient, which led us to be thinking that this would be the way to go. Both of us studied the info, but we found that the heat pump could need back-up if the weather got too cold. Both of us are now back to stage one, simply trying to come up some other viable possibilities for heating as well as air conditioning, even if all of us haven’t ruled out the mini-split option yet.
