My boyfriend Tony works full time for a radon business… I have asked my guy to explain to me over and over what he does, although I never seem to understand it at all. Radon is a gas that is poisonous that people can have removed from their home. Apparently there is radon unit and products that assist with this process. Tony works for a company that specializes in radon, however the kicker is that my boyfriend’s company does not do radon detection. They don’t set up the detectors in your place, learn the levels and tell you there is dangerous amounts of radon in your property. They do other things. I am guessing what my boyfriend must do is set up the unit to remove the radon from the property. They must set up the piping and air vents to blow out the radon from the place. So they do radon unit installations and removal. I wonder how much that costs. I don’t think there is a very big market for radon removal. Who actually tests for radon on their own and then afterwards call a company for this? I feel as though the company should expand to detection and perhaps other dangerous house gases. I just don’t think there is enough of a draw to radon removal. Although, Tony is pretty well off, works full time and regularly seems to be busy. So there clearly must be more of a market for radon technology than I thought. Maybe I am the only person that is completely ignorant and lazy when it comes to radon. I have never even inspected our property for this gas at all.
