Last month, we experienced a very chilly and windy rainstorm. It was very unexpected, considering it was the middle of July. The winds reached up to 78 miles per hour, & the temperature dropped to a freezing 42 degrees fahrenheit! The storm hit with no warning whatsoever. The weatherman predicted a clear, sunny day! I work outdoors, so I got trapped in it for about 45 minutes as I rushed to evacuate the job site. I finally made it into the service truck and turned the heat on as high as possible. I drove to the main office, and stepped inside the warmth of the main lobby. We just had our heating and cooling equipment inspected by the local HVAC business, so our gas furnace was working at peak capacity. The HVAC technician who had come out was very knowledgeable and conscientious. He was able to address some of the minor problems in our system. I’ve been working at the same job for close to 20 years. The heating & cooling system never worked as well as it does now. As I sat there in the warmth of office, I couldn’t help but appreciate the gas furnace. It made me consider the gas furnace at home. The heating & cooling unit at my home has been making some strange noises lately. I may call this same HVAC company and hire them to handle the repair. They did such a wonderful job at my workplace. Winter is coming, and because of the cold temperatures and sudden blizzards, I want to make sure the gas furnace is ready to handle it reliably and efficiently. We tend to have long and very cold Winter weather. Maintaining the gas furnace is a priority.
