Donated HVAC

My job is for a not for profit company. It is a dream to go to my job each day in addition to being able to help people that are not as fortunate as I am. The organization where I work is a food pantry. Everyone collects many types of food in addition to distributing the donated food to local food banks. It is really rewarding to get to see the expressions of those that are helped everyday when dropping off deliveries. However, due to the fact that it is a non-profit organization, it has to make due with money donations. This can be absolutely hard when every one of us is trying to operate a company with over 40 employees. Lately, things have been difficult. We needed to make a bunch of budget cuts. One of those cuts being our nice, new office space. It was absolutely terrible to have to transfer and put the offices back into the warehouse. That warehouse is miserable and hot, and there isn’t a working a/c. The people I work with and I have never had an a/c because every one of us thought funds needed to be situated in other ways, but I have to confess that it is not fun going to a job where I sweat all afternoon inside a warehouse. One afternoon the other week, I walked in and there was a cool breeze on my skin. I was a bit confused as to why I was feeling this rush of cold air. Apparently, a couple donors had a whole heating, ventilation, and A/C unit installed into our warehouse. I was astonished because I feel i can be costly to put in HVAC ductwork in addition to installing the physical heating and air conditioning equipment. This was such a gift to have a/c, I am so thankful to those donors!
