My parents recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. I think anyone will agree that this is a very rare accomplishment in these days. I can barely name a few marriages that have survived ten years, let alone seventy five! We decided that in their old age, we needed to throw them a proper party. We knew this could be the last wonderful memory that they had together. We thought we would do something at their beautiful assisted living facility where they have resided for the last few years. Anything too complicated to attend would not see many guests be able come. We had all the details down to the very specifics. We were so excited. It was particularly hot outside, which made us thankful for choosing an indoor venue with air conditioning. The guests started to arrive when I noticed the temperature wasn’t very cold. I checked the thermostat and noticed it wasn’t registering a temperature. I immediately went to the front desk where people were very frantic. They had already discovered the faulty air conditioning and were doing what they could to get the HVAC technicians out to the facility. At this point, dry bland air was the only thing coming out of the air vents. I was getting really worried for the elderly folks needing the air conditioning as badly as they needed water! We saw the team of HVAC workers get to work on the air vents, filters and checking out the system. It only took fifteen minutes for them to get the air conditioning up and running, thankfully!
